Biography

Rhett Luedtke is an Associate Professor of Theatre at Hope College (MI) and the artistic director of the Big Bridge Theatre Consortium – an organization committed to developing new American plays dedicated to interfaith conflict and peace.

 

Rhett was the recipient of the 2019 George Fox University Undergraduate Scholar of the Year award, the 2016 Kennedy Center Gold Medallion for Excellence in Educational Theatre, the 2010 George Fox Undergraduate Teacher of the Year award, and the 2010 National Directing Fellowship from the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival.

 

Rhett has directed more than 50 productions during his career. He has a bachelor’s degree in theatre and English from Valparaiso University in Indiana, and an MFA in directing from Illinois State University.
